The GESS Dubai Experience

Update:

While we sadly can't attend GESS 2021 in person this year, we're delighted to have been nominated as a finalist in the best paid for app/ software category. You can read more about our nomination here.

The GESS Dubai Event

The Mobile Guardian team was thrilled to head to GESS Dubai! GESS is the leading education conference and exhibition in the Middle East region providing educators access to the products and solutions that meet the needs of the modern classroom and transform the way students learn. Every year, the exhibition runs an extensive conference programme and awards ceremony, making GESS Dubai “the event” for anyone in the education industry.

Who attends the event?

From headteacher to the head of procurement, the GESS Dubai annual event is designed for all levels of educational professionals, and there’s something for everyone. Apart from the main exhibition, GESS also runs a globally renowned, free to attend conference featuring seminars, live case studies, workshops, and panel discussions. We couldn’t wait to get to Dubai, set up, and start catching up with some of our local schools in real life.

Arriving at GESS

Mobile Guardian arrived at the Dubai World Trade Center expo halls and set up alongside our partners in the region - ACER and Learn IT. Registration was quick and I and David Graham, Mobile Guardian’s head of Middle East and Africa, simply had to collect our passes the day before the conference kicked off.

Our Gess Experience

We met up with schools and educators and had a wonderful time learning about the challenges that they faced when it came to mobile device management in their classrooms. GESS has a wealth of interesting speakers, and luckily our stand was quite close to the main stage. Not only did we meet some fascinating guest speakers, but got to hear their talks on digital learning, pedagogy, and the future of learning for schools in the region. We left GESS with a great appreciation for all that schools are doing to drive digital transformation that positively impacts their students' learning journeys. It was a great opportunity to showcase Mobile Guardian’s in-class device management tools and web-filtering and really spend time with teachers outside of their classrooms.

Onwards!
