Do you want to stop your child from accessing SnapChat? This post is for Mobile Guardian Parents who want to know how to block Snapchat on their child’s iPhone or Android phone. Please note that this feature is device-specific and in the case of iOS devices, will only work on supervised iOS devices. Children can access Snapchat on their phones, using the official Android or iPhone app. There’s a rumour that Snapchat is launching a web browser version to view and share snaps online, but so far it’s just a simply just a rumour.
With Mobile Guardian, you can either block Snapchat completely, or use the timetable to schedule when you child can access social media on their phone
To block Snapchat on your child’s mobile device using Mobile Guardian, follow these steps.
How to block Snapchat
- Open your Mobile Guardian Dashboard
- Go to application security settings
- Scroll through the list of apps on your child’s phone
- Select Snapchat and eithersome text
- block it completely, or
- choose “scheduled” to limit when the app can be used
